John Muir, a naturalist was worried that if our country didn’t start preserving the natural beauties of America, one day our country would be all road and building. On October 1, 1890, Yosemite became a national park during President Theodore Roosevelt’s presidency.

Yosemite is the exact size as Rhode Island. Yosemite has the tallest waterfall in North America adn third tallest in the world.

Yosemite attracts around 3 million visitors yearly. Yosemite is open 365 days a year.

Yosemite is breath – taking and amazing. You should totally go. Yosemite offers many campgrounds, hiking, rock climbing, swimming, rafting, horseback – riding, and museums. There is something for everyone!
